American Curriculum, IB (DP)
The American International School of Vilnius Lower School is an English-medium, co-educational day school serving children from 18 months through Grade 5. AISV was founded in 1993, while its Lower School operates from Srovės Street 19 in a green area of Vilnius. Students follow an American-style, college-preparatory curriculum that develops literacy, mathematics, science, technology, social studies and the arts through inquiry and project work. Lithuanian language learning is also included. The campus supports early childhood and elementary education and provides a library, technology resources, creative spaces, sports provision and a cafeteria. Door-to-door school transport is available through an independent operator. A distinctive feature is the range of activities available to younger pupils, including robotics, programming, science club, ceramics, violin, musicals, swimming, cooking and yoga. Lower School classes also lead monthly assemblies where pupils present their learning, celebrate achievements and contribute to shared school events.
