The English National Curriculum (ENC) forms the backbone of The British School of Vilnius' curriculum, adapted for an international context and enriched with Lithuanian language, culture, and heritage for Lithuanian and international students. The curriculum is rigorous, child-centered and personalised, with a global outlook and includes sports, music, arts and drama programmes.
Small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio provide individualized attention to support progress.
In Years 10 and 11, students study towards their IGCSE examinations. The school offers a broad and balanced range of subjects; each student typically studies 8–10 IGCSE subjects. The IGCSE programme is rigorous and internationally recognised, and The British School of Vilnius is accredited by Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge Assessment International Education. IGCSE qualifications are widely recognised by higher education institutions and provide a foundation for A Levels studied in Years 12-13.
From the moment a student joins The British School of Vilnius, a dedicated team creates a personalised academic plan tailored to the student's strengths and guides them through selecting, applying to and being admitted to top universities in the UK, US and worldwide.
Regular opportunities to develop talents are provided, including additional classes and targeted opportunities for more capable and talented students, with intervention and support as necessary.
The school has a selective but straightforward admissions procedure. Entry assessments are required and can be conducted at the school campus or remotely for applicants applying from abroad. Parents typically receive a response within 5 to 10 working days of applying.
