Introduction

École Montessori-Nations is a bilingual French-English Montessori school in Geneva for children aged 3 to 12. Founded in 1989, the school follows the Montessori Curriculum while also aligning with the Programme d'Études Romand (PER) to help pupils transition smoothly to Swiss or international schools. Children learn in mixed-age classrooms, with French introduced from age four and English taught through immersion from age three. German is added during the upper elementary years. The programme also includes sports, swimming, music, outdoor learning and environmental education. The school works with local organisations such as Ferme de Budé and J'aime ma planète to support outdoor activities and environmental awareness. After-school care and themed activities are available throughout the week. A distinctive feature is the school's Eco-School initiative, where pupils actively participate in projects that reduce paper consumption and food waste, encouraging responsibility for the environment from an early age.
