Introduction

SSHL is a Swedish boarding school and high school with an international outlook, situated along Lake Mälaren near the historic town of Sigtuna and convenient for Arlanda Airport. The school blends Swedish Gymnasium programmes for Years 10–12 with International Baccalaureate options, offering three IB programmes: DP, CP, and MYP, taught in English in the Diploma Programme while preserving a Swedish-language track within the IB and Gymnasium options. Billing schedule and payment terms

- Invoicing frequency: school and boarding fees are invoiced twice per academic year (autumn term invoice and spring term invoice). Half of the yearly fee is charged on each invoice for boarding. Overdue payments incur penalty interest and unpaid invoices may be referred to the debt collection agency Intrum.

- Due dates for payment:
- Boarding students: autumn-term payment is due by SEK 30 June; spring-term payment is due by SEK 30 November. Half of the yearly fee is charged with each invoicing.
- Day students (general): autumn-term payment is due by SEK 30 September; spring-term payment is due by SEK 30 November.
- Note: an IB examination fee for grade 12 (Year 3) is invoiced on the spring-term invoice.

Boarding-specific charges and personal expenses

- The boarding fee above covers boarding as stated; parents/guardians remain responsible for personal expenses not included in the boarding fee (examples: emergency medical visits, participation in some extracurricular activities not included in the school fee, damage to school property, false fire alarms, lost course literature, lost key or key tag).

Optional and additional costs

- Sports and extracurricular activities fee (day students): SEK 2,000 per school year (SEK 1,000 per term if invoiced evenly). Boarding students: SEK 0 (included in boarding fee).
- School uniform: price varies; the starter kit (SEK 10,000) covers start-up costs for uniforms and other items.
- School/sports excursions: price varies (may be charged separately).
- Other chargeable items: lost textbooks, lost access tags, damage caused by the student, false fire alarms and certain extracurricular course costs may be billed to parents/guardians. Any purchases in the school shop or café must be paid by card or Swish.

Refund and cancellation details

- The application fee (SEK 5,000) is non-refundable. The starter kit fee (SEK 10,000) is non-refundable. There is no separate general tuition refund clause specified in the published fee documents; termination of enrollment must be made in writing and the school reserves the right to terminate a student's enrollment in specified circumstances. Admissions

Admissions
1. Boarding admission. Applications are made directly with SSHL, independent of regional or municipal processes. Applications are accepted year-round; the school prefers early submission but a boarding application can be made up to the start of the school year in August. The application is not binding. Students applying to IB programmes may be asked to pass a language test. There are three boarding options. The boarding application is a two-step process; start the process by filling in the form below. 2. Day-student Swedish gymnasium admission. Day students apply for SSHL's Swedish gymnasium via gymnasieantagningen.storsthlm.se; admission depends on the number of places available and on grades; this route is for Swedish citizens only. 3. IB programmes day-student admission.

Scholarships
Scholarships: Swedish boarding students and all IB students at SSHL can apply for financial means from the school's scholarship funds. The prerequisite for an application is that the student has been admitted to a SSHL programme and guaranteed a place. Scholarships cover part of the boarding fee for Swedish citizens and part of the tuition fee for IB programmes. Scholarships exist for boarding students (Scholarship Fund for Swedish Youth Abroad; Scholarships from Swedish foundations) and for all students in IB MYP5, IB CP and IB DP (The Foundation for the International high school IB – Curt Nicolin 60 years).
