Rain Trees International Kindergarten

Rain Trees International Kindergarten is located at 255 Holland Road, in a residential area near Holland Village. The school is a 5-minute drive from Holland Village MRT (Circle Line) and close to key expat areas like Bukit Timah and Tanglin. It's easily accessed by car and several bus routes run along Holland Road.

Rain Trees groups children from 18 months to 6 years into six types of classes based on age and developmental stage: Butterflies ,Sunbirds, Fireflies, Dragonflies, Ladybirds, and Busy Bees. Each level supports age-appropriate learning and routines.

The school also offers a separate toddler group for children aged 8 months to 2 years, designed to help them build social skills and adjust to the preschool setting.

Rain Trees International Kindergarten is a co-educational day school for both local and international students aged 8 months to 6 years.

Rain Trees offers support for children with mild additional learning needs on a case-by-case basis. The school works closely with parents and external specialists to ensure appropriate strategies are in place within the classroom setting.

There is no dedicated learning support department on site.

Rain Trees International Kindergarten has no religious affiliation. Children from all backgrounds are welcome.

The school day at Rain Trees varies by age group.
- For Butterflies and Sunbirds, classes start from 8:45 am to 11:45 am with a choice of 2, 3, or 5 days.
- Fireflies attend from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; 3 or 5 days are allowed until age 3, after which 5 days are required.
- Dragonflies and Ladybirds attend 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, 5 days a week.
- Busy Bees attend 9:00am to 2:30pm, 5 days a week.
- Parent and Toddler Group runs on Fridays from 10:00am to 11:45am. Helper and Toddler Group sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, also from 10:00am to 11:45am.

Optional afternoon sessions run until 2:30pm, with after-school CCAs from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

Rain Trees offers a school bus service through an external provider.

Rain Trees follows the UK Early Years National Curriculum, adapted for an international context. The curriculum is play-based and structured around key areas of early childhood development, including language and communication, physical development, personal and social skills, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts.

Daily activities include storytelling, role play, music, movement, outdoor exploration, and hands-on learning. Mandarin is taught for 30–45 minutes each day across all age groups.

Children in Butterflies and Sunbirds focus on socialisation and routine, while older children in Dragonflies, Ladybirds, and Busy Bees engage in more structured pre-literacy and numeracy activities. Afternoon sessions offer extended learning in either English or Mandarin, and optional co-curricular activities are available after school.

1. Arrange a school visit or tour.
Parents are encouraged to visit the campus to observe the learning environment and meet the staff. Tours are scheduled during school hours to provide a realistic view of the daily routine. The school may also hold open mornings or events for prospective families.

2. Submit an application form.
If you wish to proceed, you’ll need to complete and submit the school’s application form along with supporting documents such as a copy of your child’s passport, immunization record, and a recent photo. A non-refundable registration fee of SGD 750 is required at this stage.

3. Receive confirmation and pay the deposit.
Once a place is offered, a refundable acceptance deposit of SGD 1,000 is required to secure it. The place is confirmed only once both the registration fee and deposit have been paid. The school will also confirm your child’s start date and class placement.

4. Prepare for your child’s start.
Prior to the start date, the school may request additional information such as emergency contacts or health details. Parents will receive orientation details and can speak with teachers to ease the transition. Children may start mid-term if places are available, and fees will be pro-rated accordingly.

Rain Trees International Kindergarten does not currently offer any scholarships.

Rain Trees operates a waitlist system when classes are full. Places are offered based on availability and the date the application was received. Priority may be given to siblings of current students. If a space is not immediately available, families are kept informed and contacted as soon as an appropriate place becomes open.
