LFKL is a co-educational institution and does not offer boarding facilities.

The school day at LFKL generally begins at 8:00 a.m. for all students. Kindergarten and primary school students finish their day at 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with an earlier dismissal at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. For secondary and high school students, the school day varies depending on their timetable and chosen options.

Lunch is provided by the school canteen and is mandatory for kindergarten, primary, and middle school students, usually taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

LFKL provides a school bus service for students, covering major residential areas in Kuala Lumpur. These areas include Ampang, KL City Center, Mont Kiara, Desa Park City, Sri Hartamas, Bangsar, Damansara, Bukit Tunku, and T.T.D.I.

The curriculum is structured into several cycles, beginning with Kindergarten (école maternelle) for ages 3-6, focusing on foundational learning, including early numeracy, literacy, arts, and an introduction to English. The Primary School (école élémentaire), for ages 6-10, covers two cycles, building on French language and mathematics skills, and integrating various core subjects along with continued English language instruction. For non-French speakers entering primary school, a special bridging program offers additional French language support.

Secondary School (collège), for ages 11-14, provides a comprehensive curriculum covering various academic disciplines and modern languages. At the end of this stage, students sit for the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB). The final stage is High School (lycée), for ages 15-18, which culminates in the French Baccalauréat.

The International Section (European Section) is also available in secondary and high school, where English language skills are strengthened through subjects like History and Geography taught in English, preparing students for the European option of the Baccalauréat. Students also have the opportunity to pursue Cambridge IGCSE language certifications through this program.

1. Complete an online application form. This step requires submitting various documents, including academic records from the past three years, copies of passports for the applicant and parents, birth certificates, and a completed student health form, including immunization records.

2. Attend admissions exam For students entering Year 1 (CP) onwards who are not from a French educational system, an admission test or evaluation may be required, typically starting from age 6. Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the admissions department.

3. Receive and accept offer Upon successful review, you will receive an enrollment confirmation via email. This email will outline the next steps, which may include a meeting with the Primary Director for appropriate class placement or instructions to finalize enrollment by paying the initial enrollment fees and a deposit.

LFKL itself does not offer scholarships directly for general enrollment. However, children of French nationality residing in Malaysia may be eligible for scholarships provided by the French government. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need, taking into account family income, assets, and expenses. They can help cover various costs, including tuition fees, initial registration fees, canteen services, and school transport. To be considered, eligible students must be registered on the Register of French people established outside France.
