1. Admissions overview: Linden Hall High School is a six-year integrated junior and senior high school. Entrance examinations are limited to the Secondary Education School Entrance Examination for sixth-grade elementary students; the general High School Entrance Examination is not conducted. The school accepts transfer students.
2. Grade 7 Semester 1 admissions for 2026: 60 places are available. Applicants may choose from three exam types, with examinations and interviews at Linden Hall High School or Online (overseas applicants). Applicants must be born between April 2, 2013 and April 1, 2014; the application package includes the Application for Admission, Candidate Examination Form and Payment Confirmation, and PLUS Forms L1–L8; English-language evidence is required for Type J or Type B applicants whose mother tongue is not English (e.g., Eiken, IELTS). The application fee is 30,000 JPY; Round 1 runs December 1–20, 2025 and Round 2 runs January 1–20, 2026. Enrollment takes place January 14–23, 2026 (Round 1) or February 17–26, 2026 (Round 2). Fees: Entrance 400,000 JPY; Educational Enrichment 430,000 JPY; Facilities Development 420,000 JPY (nonrefundable).
3. Applications to enroll in all other grades and semesters (2025): Applications are invited for transfer admissions to Grades 7-10 (Semester 2 through Semester 1). Examinations are held at Linden Hall High School or Online; Several students are admitted per grade level. Applications must be submitted at least three months before enrollment; visa processing may extend the timeline. Results are announced two working days after the examination date; enrollment procedures and fees mirror those for Grade 7 Semester 1.
4. Tuition and fees: Tuition is 110,000 JPY per month; Global Education Fee 25,000 JPY; PTA Fee 2,000 JPY; Friends of School Committee Fee 1,500 JPY. Other monthly fees include Supplementary Japanese Language Class 100,000 JPY; Global Student Fee 85,000 JPY (for dormitory students requiring a student visa); Reserve Fund for School Trip 15,000 JPY; School Lunch 10,000 JPY. Supplementary Japanese language classes are provided to students scoring below JLPT N3 or N4; the Global Student Fee applies to dormitory students; lunch is mandatory for grades 7-9 and optional for grades 10-12.
