Lycée Stendhal Milan is a French international school located in Milan and directly managed by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). The school is an international French-style school that enrolls about 1,200 students from 25 nationalities and is managed directly by AEFE. It follows the French national curriculum and leads to the Baccalauréat, including ESABAC for eligible students and, when appropriate, the Esame di Stato. The school is multilingual, with French, Italian, and English taught to all students; Italian is mandatory for everyone, and German or Spanish is introduced from grade 5. Secondary education comprises four years of collège and three years of lycée, and CNED is available for subjects not offered on site. In the terminal cycle, the following specialties are taught: History-Geography-Geopolitics; Humanities, Literature and Philosophy; Languages, Literature and Foreign Languages (English); Mathematics; Physics-Chemistry; Economics and Social Sciences; Life and Earth Sciences.
Baccalauréat 2025: 98.87% pass rate; 93.25% with mentions, including 38.20% Très Bien. Six students received the jury's congratulations, and one student earned the AEFE France Excellence-Major scholarship. DNB 2025: 100% pass rate with 86% of students achieving mentions (Assez Bien, Bien, or Très Bien). A graduation ceremony took place on July 1 with families, teachers, and officials.
The Baccalauréat opens higher education opportunities in France, Italy, and worldwide. Graduates go on to new projects in France, Italy, and internationally. One student earned the AEFE France Excellence-Major scholarship to study in France.
Orientation: Beginning in 5th grade, the student gradually builds an orientation plan for studies, notably higher education, leading to a professional project. The librarian and homeroom teachers support the student. A Guidance Counselor Psychologist from the Grenoble Academy also works at Lycée Stendhal de Milan. Two Information and Orientation Resource Persons (PRIO) accompany students in their orientation.
English is taught from 6th grade to the final year as the first foreign language. A strengthening program is offered in 5th, 4th and 3rd years (LLCE Anglais) and in Seconde (DNL Maths).
A Guidance Counselor Psychologist from the Grenoble Academy works at Lycée Stendhal de Milan. Two PRIO staff accompany students with information and orientation to support their development and wellbeing.
In the canteen, a dietitian is permanently present and personalized accommodations are provided for students with dietary restrictions or allergies. The nurse is available for health inquiries at infirmerie@lyceestendhal.it.
