YCIS 2 Kent Road Campus is located at 2 Kent Road, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. It lies in the Kowloon Tong neighbourhood, surrounded by residential streets, parks, and academic institutions.The campus is a short walk from local public transport links and is part of the larger YCIS network in the Kowloon Tong area.

YCIS hires Learning Support Teachers to work with students who need extra support academically. They assess learning/emotional needs, collaborate with teachers, and help implement interventions.

The school operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The school provides a school bus service. The primary section has a mandatory school bus scheme for new primary students, with exemptions granted only under special cases.

This campus is focused on Early Childhood Education, serving infants, toddlers, and kindergarten levels. The curriculum follows an emergent learning approach, where classroom projects and activities are shaped by children’s interests and daily observations. Learning at this stage integrates play, exploration, and guided experiences to build early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills. The environment is also bilingual, with English and Mandarin used alongside each other, encouraging children to develop both languages from an early age. 1. Application Submission
Families begin by completing an online application form through the YCIS admissions portal. Required documents such as birth certificate, passport, school reports, and recent photographs are uploaded at this stage.

2. Application Review
The admissions team reviews all submitted materials to ensure completeness and eligibility. Only fully completed applications are processed for the next step.

3. Assessment and Interview
Depending on the child’s year group, YCIS arranges age-appropriate assessments and/or interviews. These may include written English and mathematics evaluations, group interaction tasks, or one-to-one meetings. The goal is to understand the child’s academic level, language ability, and social development.

4. Placement Consideration
After assessments, placement decisions are made based on multiple factors: academic background, English proficiency, social development, past schooling, and the child’s date of birth. The aim is to find the most suitable year level and environment for the student.

5. Offer of Place
If successful, families receive a formal offer letter. The place is confirmed once parents accept the offer and settle the required fees (including debenture or capital levy, where applicable).

1.YCIS offers financial assistance for families unable to purchase a debenture (in full or partially). Exemptions or deferred payment plans are available under the school’s financial assistance programme.

2.The school also administers a merit-based Yew Chung Yew Wah Scholarship Programme, which recognizes academic achievement, leadership, and service.

3.A “Christian Missionary Support Policy” exists, allowing children from Christian missionary families to apply for tuition fee assistance under certain conditions.

YCIS operates a waiting pool / waiting list system. When a year level is full, approved applicants who passed interviews may be kept in the waiting pool until a spot opens.
