Fees
Summary
I was unable to locate any publicly posted, numeric fee schedule for the Colegio Alemán de Guatemala (Deutsche Schule Guatemala) for the 2026/27 academic year or for 2025/26 on the school's publicly accessible admissions and institutional pages. The information below lists the fee categories the school uses and the specific details that are publicly available (amounts and schedules are not published).

Application / registration fee
- No fixed application or registration fee amount is published in public admissions materials. Admissions communications state that information about admission costs and the registration process is provided to families during information sessions and registration steps, but numeric amounts are not listed on public pages.

Tuition fees (by year group and per term)
- The school does not publish a detailed tuition table by year group or per term on its publicly accessible pages. No per-grade or per-term tuition amounts for 2026/27 or 2025/26 are available in the public admissions or general information sections.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- No public, itemized billing schedule (for example: monthly, quarterly, or per-term payment dates) or the standard contractual payment terms (due dates, late fees, interest) are published on the school's public pages. The school uses a parent portal and internal communications for administrative documents and downloadable files related to billing; these materials are not exposed in the publicly visible admissions pages.

Boarding / residential fees
- There is no indication in publicly available school materials of a boarding or residential programme. As a result, there are no publicly listed boarding fees.

Other costs and mandatory ancillary fees
- Uniforms: The school provides an on-campus shop presence in its navigation (DSG Shop), which indicates uniforms and branded items are sold, but no uniform price list is published publicly.
- Textbooks and learning materials: No public price list; materials and book costs are referenced as part of admissions and enrollment logistics but amounts are not published.
- School supplies, extracurricular programme fees, laboratory/technology fees, school insurance, lunch/cafeteria plans, and school-transport (bus) fees are all mentioned in admissions communications as typical components of total cost, but specific fees and whether any of these are mandatory are not published publicly.
- Family/association fees or membership contributions (for parent associations or cultural associations) are not listed with amounts in public materials; such fees are commonly administered by parent associations at many schools but no public numeric schedule is available.

Refund policy (withdrawal / cancellation / early-termination)
- No publicly posted, detailed refund policy or numeric refund schedule (for example, refund percentages by date of withdrawal) was found in the publicly accessible admissions pages or general information sections. Admissions pages indicate that costs related to admission and enrollment are explained during the admissions process but do not list a public refund schedule.

Fee payment options (methods accepted)
- The publicly accessible pages do not list specific accepted payment methods (credit card, local bank transfer, international wire, cash, standing order). The school uses a parent portal and internal administration channels for billing and documents; families are normally instructed about payment methods as part of the enrollment process. Public contact details for direct enquiries are: info@dsguatemala.edu.gt and +502 2268 3333.

Short summary of search outcome
- Publicly accessible school pages and admissions information do not contain a numeric fee schedule for the 2026/27 academic year (nor an explicit 2025/26 public fee table). The admissions materials state that costs and the registration process are communicated directly to prospective families during information sessions and registration steps, and the school operates a parent portal for internal documents related to enrollment and billing.

Admissions

Admissions

The German School of Guatemala is a learning community that promotes cultural exchange. Education takes into account Guatemalan and German curricula and is taught in German, Spanish, and English. In its philosophical and pedagogical orientation it is independent of political, social, and religious ideologies. It is a member of the German Schools Abroad network (DAS) and is recognized with the Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule (Excellent German School Abroad) seal. Students can pursue the Guatemalan Bachillerato in Ciencias y Letras and the Deutsches Internationales Abitur, which opens doors to a world with more opportunities. The Ingreso Lateral program has been implemented in Guatemala since 2011 and is now a reality in many other German schools worldwide, including Costa Rica. It requires constant work for success. In 2010 a project team was formed to shape this initiative, encouraged by the Federal Republic of Germany. The program offers high-performing students, with strong adaptability and the ability to integrate into the educational system, who come from other schools and do not know German, the opportunity to enter the school in 5th grade (equivalent to Guatemala's 4th grade). The name Ingreso Lateral comes from the fact that new students spend the first three years in a parallel section of the same grade, in which they receive intensive German language instruction so they can level with students who started at the school from Prekindergarten. After this process, students are fully integrated into the other sections and activities until graduation. This program affirms the support of the Government of Germany for our school, aiming to benefit the entire school community, maintaining the high academic and human standards that characterize us, within a school climate that supports the best development of each student. We thank the parents, teaching and administrative staff, and members of the Administrative Council for their support and confidence in this project and hope for even greater success in coming school cycles. For more information about this program, call (502) 2268 3333 ext. 126.
