Admission Criteria and Application Process. Pupils at the European School Munich are categorized into three groups with priority admission: Category I pupils (entitled pupils) are children of employees of the European Patent Office in Munich, of the EU, or of the school's teachers and administrative and ancillary staff; they have to be admitted and are exempt from school fees. Category II pupils are children covered by individual agreements or decisions, each entailing specific rights and obligations for the children concerned, particularly as regards school fees. Category III pupils are children who do not belong to Categories I or II and will be admitted to a limited extent under the ESM admission policy approved by the Board of Governors of the European Schools in December 2023.
