The International School of Toulouse is located on a four-hectare site in Colomiers and serves students aged 3 to 18. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), along with the Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9–10. IST's IB World School status dates back to 2000. Classes are small to support close teacher interaction and individualized learning. For younger students, the curriculum provides inquiry-led learning in English with strong French language support to facilitate integration into the local culture. The campus features two libraries, science laboratories, and dedicated spaces for art, music, drama and design & technology, plus assembly halls and an auditorium. On-site facilities include a large gym, all-weather football pitch, running track and long jump area, a canteen serving hot meals, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Extracurriculars span music ensembles, drama, creative writing, science, mathematics and art, with regular concerts, theatre productions, and cultural events.

The campus is about 20 minutes from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport by car. The local bus service is operated by Tisseo; the IST bus stop is 'Pornic' on Allée de l'Herbaudière on circular route 150, and the nearest local train stop is Colomiers-Lycée International, about a 10-minute walk from the school.
IST serves ages 3 to 18 years. It comprises Early Years, Primary and Secondary, and offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Cambridge IGCSE programme, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

There are over 30 nationalities represented. The most common nationality is Spanish (about 31%), followed by British (about 24%) and French (about 16%). This yields approximately 16% local (French) and 84% international students.
IST follows a whole-school approach to meeting additional educational needs, with extra support available from a dedicated Student Support Coordinator for targeted interventions. Sessions focus on literacy and numeracy skills, study skills and curriculum support, with multi-sensory learning. The school also works with an Educational Psychologist/Counsellor to support students, teachers and parents.

The School does not operate a school-run bus service; transport is via public transport. Local bus service is provided by Tisseo; the IST bus stop is Pornic on Allée de l'Herbaudière on circular route 150.

IST offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grades 11-12, with the option to study for the full Diploma or the IB Course. The Diploma Programme requires six subjects (three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level), an extended essay, a Theory of Knowledge course, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS). IST has been an IB World School since January 2000. For Grades 9-10, IST runs the (I)GCSE Programme with core subjects English Language, French, Mathematics, and Science (Double Award), plus a range of option subjects including Art and Design, Business Studies, Design Technology, Drama, Geography, German, History, ICT, Music, and Spanish. The school emphasizes small class sizes to foster close teacher interaction and individualized learning.
Small class sizes enable significant interaction with teachers and opportunities for individual project work.
GCSE pass rate 89% (A-C / 9-4) and 100% of IB Diploma students were successful with an average of 33 points in 2025.
The majority of IST graduates continue their education at colleges and universities around the world. Institutions listed include University of Toronto, McGill University, INSA Lyon, INSA Toulouse, Imperial College London, Cambridge University, Oxford University, LSE, University of Barcelona, and ESSEC Business School (Singapore), among others.
IB Scholarships are offered; up to two places per year for exceptional talent.
Applications are accepted throughout the year. To enroll, complete the Expression of Interest Form or contact the Personnel and Student Information Manager (PSIM). The PSIM will answer questions and guide you through the application process. Step 1: Submit a complete application. The following documents must be fully completed and submitted before an application can be reviewed: Registration Form; School Recommendation Form; Tuition Fee Information Form; Academic reports for the last academic year. For K3 and above, students will be admitted only if they satisfy the School's academic standards. For Primary students, please submit a piece of unaided written work. If English is not the child's first language please provide any documented evidence (certificates, reports etc.) of English language ability in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Registration Fee: The non-refundable registration fee and the Tuition Fee Information Form or the Airbus Billing Form must accompany each application. Step 2: Application review. Once all elements have been provided, the Principal will review the application. Step 3: Application decision. Admission may be granted, declined or the School may place the student on a waiting list. In all cases, the parent(s)/guardian(s) will be notified in writing. IB Scholarships: The International School of Toulouse offers a scholarship programme for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, covering the last two years of Secondary schooling at IST. The programme is designed for students who wish to pursue a university programme in English, such as in the United Kingdom or the United States. A limited number of scholarships is available each year, with a maximum of two places. All scholarship students have achieved very good IB Diploma results, including full marks, and are expected to maintain this standard. The school does not provide boarding facilities, so scholarship students are expected to live with their parents/guardians while studying at IST.
